Wow I'm such a slacker. Its been a long while since I've posted a blog. I've been so wrapped up in..guess...yes! Latin! I have a quiz today on two chapters but they seem easy enough. But I guess I'll find out.
I'll give you a bit of a recap on the week.
Tuesday I got advised. She made me drop my Indian Epic course (one of Dr. Gibbs courses) because it didn't fulfill any requirement to my major. After she did that I started thinking that Laura has said it would be a Non Western Civ course. So I checked with Laura which started an interesting chain of events. Laura talks about it in her blog here . So it does count as a Non Western Civ and it just happens that I need that for my gen ed. So I added it back on to my schedule and dropped the Greek Epic Poetry that my advisor added to my schedule. So I get to enroll Monday...I'm way excited about it. I like how next semester looks!
Tuesday night was Harrius Potter night. It was great fun as usual and Laura, Nick, and I had an interesting conversation about languages afterwards. Sigh...such smart people. Joyce and Richelle were already at Border's waiting for me. So I spent the rest of the evening working on Latin. Feel so at home at that place....
Wednesday was movie night. Joyce, Richelle, and I went over to Pepe's to eat nachos with Laura, Jennifer, and Becca. It was great fun with lots of good conversation. After pigging out on Nachos Laura, Joyce, Richelle, and I walked over to Felgar Hall and watched the Movie "Whale Rider". Great movie so if you haven't seen it you really need to. It does have sad parts so be forwarned. After the movie we went to Border's and had more great conversation about languages. Wow...so much to learn!
So on Thursday I took Richelle to Wal Mart to see if we could put something together for an All Hallow's Eve Costume since she does have two parties to go to. She is going to be a punk kiddo with wild clothes and hair. lol. Not too much different than her regular clothes except she will be wearing a skirt. After that we headed over to Border's again. Got a lot more Latin studying done.
I've gotten all the work done this week for my mythology and folklore class except for the new addition to the storybook. The plan is to do that Sunday...and also try to get all of the stories written on Sunday.
The best news of the week is that Joyce got a job. It seems like a nice place and I know she is happy and relieved to be back working!!! yea for her!!!
This blog is way long just talking about regular stuff so I don't feel bad about not having anything special to talk about. But I do have this interesting fact to share: Guess Who Is On Top of ESPN'S Heisman Watch????
