
As we all know (i hope) bacon grease and electric stove burners do not mix. As i was fixing breakfast this morning the burner went up in flames. Apparently yesterday Richelle made bacon on the "Oh My George Foreman Grill" and bacon grease dripped on the burner...lots of it. So as i was boiling eggs i saw a bright light coming from the kitchen. Lo! and Behold! the burner was on fire. It took quite a while to smother the flame. It emitted lots of black smoke but never did set off the smoke alarm. What did i learn from this? The entire downstairs could burn before the smoke alarm would know......
